For the purposes of this contract‚ "Ticket" means "Ticket and Baggage Check" of which these "Conditions of Contract and Notices" form part. "Electronic Ticket" means the itinerary/receipt issued by or on behalf of the Contract Carrier‚ "Electronic Coupons" and‚ where applicable‚ a Boarding Document. "Contractual carrier" means any air carrier which carries or undertakes to carry the passenger and his baggage under this contract or which performs any other service in connection with the respective carriage by air.

"Actual carrier" means any other carrier performing all or part of the carriage contracted with the contractual carrier and authorized by the latter. "Montreal Convention" means the Convention for the Unification of Certain Rules for International Carriage by Air‚ signed at Montreal on 28 May 1999. "Council Regulation (EC) No. 2027/97 of 9 October 1997" as amended by Regulation (EC) No. 889/2002 of 13 May 2002 on the liability of Community airlines in respect of the carriage of passengers and their luggage. SDRs" means Special Drawing Rights as defined by the International Monetary Fund.

Carriage performed pursuant to this contract shall be subject to the Montreal Convention and to the provisions of Council Regulation (EC) No 2027/97 of 9 October 1997 as amended by Regulation (EC) No 889/2002 of 13 May 2002 on the liability of airlines with regard to the carriage of passengers and their baggage.
